WHY THE CEDARS

The Cedars is a community based rehabilitation centre providing a spiritual
solution to addiction and alcoholism through working the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous/Narcotics Anonymous. Patients are offered an opportunity to find
freedom and happiness and an ability to live 'life on life's terms" without the use of
drugs or alcohol. Addiction creates an inability to love or be loved and induces fear,
timidity, worry, panic, illusion, hostility, desolation and eventually despair.

 

By living the 12 Steps of recovery patients lose their blindness and they come
to understand a richer and more promising way of life. Because we know the nature
and extent of the disease through our own personal experience, we are able to take
each person confidently through the 12 Steps to an experience of their own self worth.
